My
Journey
with
Emily
Emily
was
one
of
the
first
friends
I
made
in
college.
With
her
infectious
smile
and
bubbly
personality,
it
was
hard
to
resist
her
charm.
I
remember
the
first
time
we
met,
she
was
wearing
a
bright
red
dress
and
her
hair
was
in
a
messy
bun.
She
greeted
me
with
a
warm
hug
and
welcomed
me
to
the
university.
Over
the
years,
Emily
and
I
became
inseparable.
We
would
share
late
night
conversations
over
pizza
and
watch
our
favorite
TV
shows
together.
She
had
a
passion
for
photography
and
would
often
take
me
on
adventures
to
capture
the
perfect
shot.
We
visited
art
galleries,
museums,
and
even
went
on
a
camping
trip
in
the
mountains.
But
it
wasn't
all
rainbows
and
butterflies
with
Emily.
She
had
her
fair
share
of
struggles.
She
lost
her
mother
to
breast
cancer
and
had
to
take
a
year
off
from
school
to
mourn
her
loss.
I
saw
how
much
pain
she
was
in
and
how
difficult
it
was
for
her
to
accept
the
reality
of
her
situation.
But
Emily
was
a
fighter,
and
I
knew
she
would
get
through
it.
Years
went
by,
and
we
graduated
from
college.
Emily
landed
a
job
at
a
local
newspaper
as
a
photojournalist,
and
I
started
working
as
a
teacher.
Even
though
we
were
no
longer
living
in
the
same
city,
we
still
made
time
for
each
other.
She
would
call
me
on
the
phone
and
tell
me
about
her
latest
assignment
or
send
me
a
postcard
from
her
travels.
But
life
took
an
unexpected
turn
when
Emily
was
diagnosed
with
leukemia.
It
came
as
a
shock
to
everyone,
and
I
was
devastated.
I
remember
visiting
her
in
the
hospital
and
seeing
how
weak
she
was.
But
Emily's
spirit
was
still
strong,
and
she
fought
the
disease
with
all
her
might.
Sadly,
Emily
lost

her
battle
with
leukemia
last
year.
It
was
a
tremendous
loss,
and
I
still
miss
her
every
day.
But
I'm
grateful
for
the
memories
we
shared
and
the
lessons
I
learned
from
her.
Emily
taught
me
to
live
life
with
a
sense
of
purpose
and
to
always
follow
my
dreams.
Emily,
wherever
you
are,
I
want
you
to
know
that
you
will
always
be
in
my
heart.
Thank
you
for
being
my
friend
and
for
sharing
your
journey
with
me.
