As
I
scrolled
through
my
social
media
feeds,
I
was
reminded
of
the
pain
of
heartbreak.
It
had
been
a
few
months
now
since
my
girlfriend
of
two
years
had
broken
up
with
me,
but
seeing
all
the
happy
couples
on
my
newsfeed
still
stung.
At
first,
I
had
tried
to
ignore
the
pain
and
distract
myself
with
work
and
hobbies.
But
eventually,
the
sadness
caught
up
to
me.
I
found
myself
unwilling
to
get
out
of
bed
some
days,
and
I
couldn't
help
but
replay
all
the
moments
of
our
relationship
in
my
head.
It
was
a
tough
pill
to
swallow,
seeing
as
how
I
had
truly
believed
she
was
the
one
for
me.
We
had
talked
about
marriage
and
a
future
together,
but
it
had
all
come
crashing
down.
I
had
confided
in
my
friends
and
family,
and
while
they
were
supportive,
I
couldn't

off
the
feeling
of
being
alone.
How
could
I
move
on
from
someone
who
had
become
such
a
big
part
of
my
life?
But
as
time
passed,
I
began
to
realize
that
I
was
more
resilient
than
I
had
given
myself
credit
for.
I
picked
up
new
hobbies,
spent
more
time
with
my
loved
ones,
and
focused
on
my
own
personal
growth.
Slowly
but
surely,
the
pain
started
to
fade.
I
even
started
dating
again
and
met
some
amazing
people
who
taught
me
new
things
about
myself
and
what
I
want
in
a
relationship.
I'm
not
going
to
lie
and
say
I'm
completely
over
my
ex,
but
I've
come
to
accept
that
heartbreak
is
a
part
of
life.
And
while
it
may
feel
like
the
end
of
the
world
at
the
time,
it
can
also
be
a
great
opportunity
for
growth
and
self-discovery.
